Affinity Federal Credit Union announces Zelle outage due to maintenance

Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) members will not have access to Zelle on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, from 12:00 a.m. until 6 a.m. ET. The announcement was viewable in the online portal about two hours before the outage. AFCU indicates that the outage is due to scheduled maintenance. 

Be sure to make any Zelle transfers before that timeframe. Most financial institutions perform maintenance overnight. The weekends are also a popular time for sites to perform maintenance. So, it’s usually a good idea to take care of pressing issues on their sites or in their portals outside of these periods. It’s also important to stay updated on any notices and alerts that your financial institution provides.

But, sometimes, as we think is the case with this outage, unexpected issues occur. So, its also important to have a backup plan.
